Located near the picturesque town of Trinidad,  Alchemy has begun an extensive remodel of a home built in 1972.  Working with acclaimed architecture firm Studio Bergtraun,  Alchemy Construction will transform this old structure into a energy efficient, cozy home, with a spectacular view!

Alchemy Construction is close to completing our first Green Point Rated Home.  Features include radiantly heated polished concrete floors,  Sunpower 7KW Solar Electric System,  Rehau Ground Source Heating  with 8-280 foot bore holes, Solar Hot water, Green Roof, blown in insulation, LED Lighting, and a Tittle 24 rating 49% above average.

Friends of The Dunes Goes Solar! Located in Manila, The new Interpretive Center for The Humboldt Coastal Nature Center has 3 VELUX Solar hot water collectors designed into a green roof.  The main building is heated by these panels with backup heating provided by HTP's extremely efficient Versa-Hydro water heating appliance.  Visit The FOD Website for more information.

Alchemy Construction has provided radiant heating and a 10.4 KW Solar Hot Water System to The New Mill Yard!  They will be Open Dec 27th 2010.

Alchemy Construction has finalized our Federal Government installation of Solar Hot Water, Solar Electric, and Boiler replacement for the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex.  12.4KW of Sunpower Solar Electric, the replacement of an older boiler with a more efficient Modulating Condensing Knight Boiler,  and 14,000 BTU/HR of Viessmann Solar Hot water collection.  Visit The Humboldt Bay Fish and Wildlife's 7.2 KW STC Ground Mount Statics Here.

One of our Radiant installations has been selected as a finalist in the Radiant Panel association's 2010 System Showcase competition. We will be awarded first, Second, or Third Place at the annual Building Radiant, the 2010 Radiant Panel Association Convention in Reno, Nevada!!!

We've updated our photos and have some good pictures of our Solar/Radiant installations in the Cook,  Starr, Jones and Eureka Custom Home Portfolio's.  Along with Our New Green Showroom.  Jump on in and browse around a bit.

We are in the process of remodeling our office space.  The remodel includes many green attributes including: advanced framing techniques, architectural finished concrete floors, radiant heat, water based spray in foam,  low VOC paints, dual flush toilets, recycled windows and interior trim, & concrete counter tops.  The Showroom will showcase products for sale including the following: Caleffi solar products,  boilers and solar hot water tanks by Heat Transfer Products, the new Solar Phoenix water heater by Heat Transfer Products,  Viessmann Solar and heating products,  VELUX solar H2O products, Solar Electric systems by Sunpower and Climate Master Geo-Thermal Systems.
