About Alchemy Construction
Alchemy Construction is owned by Steve Bohner and his wife Amy.
Steve graduated from Humboldt State University in 1995. After 10 years experience in the construction field, Steve got his contractors license and started Alchemy in 1998. The name was chosen for it's definition: "the power or process of transmuting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value."
Steve's wife Amy joined the company in 2005, after 10 years working with women and children in local non profits.
Amy is a member of The Rotary Club of Arcata Sunrise and she and Steve can often be found donating time and money in their community.
Recently a class of 40 HSU students toured Alchemy's job site as well as a class of 22 3rd graders from Coastal Grove Charter School.
Alchemy Construction is a proud sponsor of Humboldt Roller Derby and The Kinetic Sculpture Race.
